Nevertheless, he would try to use public transportation to run his activities tomorrow.

"Because I am part of that decision, moreover there is a public hearing at DPR tomorrow. I want to start my morning tomorrow from the official residence taking public transportation to the first event," he explained.

He emphasized the importance of setting an instance for the community and civil servants in the use of public transportation. Hence, he also instructed the City Secretary and the Transportation Agency (Dishub) to support such policy.

"Whatever the policy is, it must be implement. If the leader doesn't set an example, it is useless. That's why, Mr. Rano and I will start it tomorrow," he explained.

He added this regulation aimed to reduce traffic congestion and prompt the use of public transportation in the capital. To support this policy, there would be no official vehicle facilities every Wednesday. However, it would be replaced with free public transportation services for civil servants.

"Therefore, most civil servants commute using buses owned by the Jakarta Government. So, every Wednesday, we prepare it. But, we also provide free public transportation," he explained.

He also has a plan to implement the same policy on Jakarta's anniversary and Indonesia's Independence Day. It was expected to enhance comfort and ease of mobility for the community in their activities.

He also expressed his commitment to continue improving the quality and comfort of public transportation in Jakarta.

"My personal experience is that after taking public transportation several times, it is indeed more comfortable for long distances," he asserted.
